Defensa y Justicia is an Argentine football club from Florencio Varela, in Greater Buenos Aires, founded in 1935. Nicknamed the Halcon (Falcon), the club rose from the lower divisions to the Primera Division and reached the pinnacle of South American club football by winning the 2020 Copa Sudamericana and the 2021 Recopa Sudamericana, developing players whose transfers carried rising market value.
