FC Imabari is a Japanese football club from Imabari, on the island of Shikoku in Ehime Prefecture. Backed by the former Japan national team manager Takeshi Okada, who built the club around a distinctive development philosophy, Imabari climbed the J-League pyramid from the amateur ranks into the professional divisions. Okada's project made the small Shikoku club a talking point in Japanese football's development circles.
